Transformation & Restoration
T&R grew from my own struggle to move beyond collecting information and begin applying what Scripture was teaching me.
Join the Waiting ListWhat began as a promise to my wife became a much deeper lesson about the difference between hearing Scripture and allowing it to shape the way I live.
This page shares that story and the journey it inspired.
My Story
I started my Bible journey in 2025 as a promise to my wife. We were going to read the Bible together and grow in understanding, side by side.
That lasted about two weeks. I was not taking it seriously, so she went on ahead—her journey, and eventually, without meaning to, mine too.
I decided to catch up in my own way. Every morning and evening, during my hour-and-a-half commute to work, I listened to Scripture. Three months later, I had heard the entire Bible. I was proud and half looking for the validation I felt I had earned.
I answered with some jargon and a few parables I could recall. She looked at me and said, “That’s what I thought. Nothing.”
The Realization
I was stunned and frustrated. I had confirmed stories, challenged lies I had picked up along the way, and learned things I had never understood before. How could she say I got nothing out of it?
But she was right. I had gone through the Bible for the wrong reasons. I had collected information. I had not allowed any of it to reach my habits, relationships, or character.
Starting Again
I started again with a Bible study guide my wife had found through friends online. She was using it alongside AI as a study reference and study partner, and I decided to do the same.
At first, I was still going through the motions. Then I reached Daniel and Nehemiah, and something shifted.
Daniel’s faithfulness through every circumstance. Nehemiah’s insistence on togetherness, responsibility, and accountability in approaching God. I had heard these stories before, but I had not really heard them. This time, every book was landing differently.
The Turning Point
When I started the New Testament—right after John—my wife took the book out of my hands and tore it up.
From that moment on, I went through it one chapter at a time. No more racing to the finish.
Chapter after chapter and letter after letter, Scripture began speaking directly to who I was, how I treated people, and who I was becoming. It became an experience I could not keep to myself.
The Scripture That Captures It
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”James 1:22–25, King James Version
Why I Am Sharing This
I am not here to preach at you or tell you where you must end up. I am offering a guided path that can help make Scripture less intimidating, more understandable, and easier to apply to real life.
The T&R Journey
The first three stages are structured and guided. The fourth is self-paced and designed to continue long after the program itself.
Understand the overall story of Scripture, its major people, events, covenants, and recurring patterns.
Examine how Scripture shapes identity, truth, love, humility, character, faithfulness, endurance, and integrity.
Connect what you are learning to your relationships, decisions, habits, responsibilities, and everyday life.
Continue at your own pace, revisit difficult passages, explore biblical theology, and build a lasting habit of study.
The Goal
You can move through the program in a little under a year and read the entire Bible at least three times. But I encourage you to slow down whenever a chapter is speaking directly to you.
That is where the real transformation happens.
My hope is not simply that you complete the program. My hope is that it helps shape you into the person you were made to become.
